Conversations with the Aurora Biosphere - March 19, 2022


 

Terran Note: There was a time delay in replies from the Aurora due to some schedule conflicts Denice has had, including the birth of a new grand baby. Denice is very busy right now.  Conversations flow better when they are close to being synchronous but for now we make do with the asynchronous nature of the comms.  Perhaps soon we can just use a Starlink Sat link or our own telepathy to converse.

Martha: Hi, Marciella!  I’ve been debating how we move our conversation along.  We have SO much to talk about, it’s hard to know where to start.  Yesterday I was sitting outside in the sunshine, imagining you being here.  I likely would feel we should tour around so I could show you everything, but then I realized you might enjoy just what I was doing.  I had put birdseed on the rail of the fence and was watching the squirrels discover it.  The birds didn’t like the seed, but squirrels are far less discriminating.  There were 6 of them, but most got distracted or afraid. One, tho, was undeterred and just kept eating his way along the fence.  So funny to watch and it put me in a much better mood.  

Martha: So I wonder what you do to relax when life gets heavy?  I remember you like to watch the old Lucy tv shows.  

Martha: By the way (and I’m sure you know because you’re on top of all the communications), news came out (via Elena Danaan) that a group is being readied to move to Mars.  My first thought was “we know they’ll eat well at the welcome party!”  

Martha's friend Margaret joins the conversation.  Margaret, like Martha had prior conversations with the Aurora Sphere.

Margaret:Greetings, Marciela! 

Margaret: It is great to connect with you again! An earlier post asked whether we like fresh or prepared food. The answer varies widely by person. My appetite has changed a lot from my youth. Now I prefer fresh or frozen fruits. Mango is my favorite. Blueberries after that. I also like fresh vegetables, especially when we grow them at home. I like prepared foods. But much of our prepared food now has added ingredients that are unhealthy. So, I try to prepare foods at home. I am losing my taste for meat but still eat some. In the past year I have started to grow micro greens from cabbage, kale, broccoli and others. I am excited to know that you grow greens in very large quantities for the Aurora and beyond. 

Margaret: I have some questions, only if you want to answer. 

Margaret: How did you come to be a scientist in food nutrition? 

Margaret: Did you go to a school to learn your profession?

Margaret: Why did you decide to work on the Aurora rather than your home planet? 

Margaret: What foods do you prefer to eat? 

Margaret: Is eating a social time with family and friends? Or, is it a time to get needed nutrition?

Martha: Marciella, thank you so much for the reply and explanation.  This helps us find the best course of conversation for now.  

Martha: I admire that you studied culinary arts!  At an early point I realized this was not a direction I could go.  I don’t know if I was too creative or too disobedient, but following the directions for a recipe always bored me and soon I was off track.  As an example, this weekend I made cookies.  From a mix.  This means all the ingredients were in a bag and I only needed to add butter and an egg.  Perhaps you can see where this story goes.  I added more chips (the mix already had chocolate chips, so of course needed another flavor) and then raisins (because oatmeal cookies MUST have raisins).  Luckily this creativity just made the cookies more lumpy but still tasty.  I gave them to my neighbor as a thank you gift for shoveling the snow on my sidewalks.  I kept 5 of them, just to be sure they were edible.  Chewy, but delicious.  Most of my cooking turns out like this — an adventure!  

Margaret: Greetings, Marciela! Thank you for your reply! Like Martha said, it is helpful to know how to proceed with our conversations. I am delighted to have the opportunity to know you better. 

Margaret: I come from a long tradition of family members who are very good cooks. I learned a lot from my mother and have many recipes from several generations of family members. I am very interested in food nutrition. I am starting to learn by reading and watching videos since there is such a connection between what we eat and how we feel. Until I retired from work, my schedule was so busy that I just about quit cooking. Now that I have more free time I am cooking more and enjoying it. My new favorite thing to make is called "energy bites". There are many kinds. One of my favorite has green tea, almond flour, chia seeds, and shredded coconut. You mix everything together and make them into small balls. They are a kind of healthy and tasty sweet treat.

Plants responded best to a frequency of 5000 cycles a second.


The researchers were baffled and could not explain why audible sound had nearly doubled wheat harvests.

A Japanese Dream



Terran note: I don’t know if the custom found in this dream actually exists in Japan. Perhaps it once did. Is this is a memory returning? I really don’t know. Source takes us through lives that polish our being. We don’t always understand the why of it during the life. I've had two known lives as a Samurai during the shogun era, one of which was as a the head of a war lord's guard.  Prior to now, no memories have returned except that I have this huge appreciation for Japanese gardens, woodworking and Craftsmanship. And I've got a penchant for watching Toshiro Mifune Samurai movies.  There is an aspect of my nature that has roots in Bushido. The warrior culture of the Samurai. Ganesha recognized it in me, by the actions I did not take during the churn of events in the last days of Morocco. He told me it’s why he invited me to the Italian Alps to stay with them in their Chalet. Ganesha has that aspect too. Ganesha is a zen sea of calm.  He and his wife are wonderful beautiful people. We are changed by each life, and I have had so very very many incarnations.


I had a dream. I was living in Japan and a man carelessly crashed into my car. I was very angry at the man for the damage he caused. I wanted to damage him.

In this region of Japan there was an honor custom. Before you could take any action against a man, whether bodily or in a court of law, you had to carve a representation of the situation and a chain to it out of a single block of wood and present it to the person who wronged you before taking whatever action was on your mind.

If you did not do this, your friends and family would consider whatever action you took next dishonorable.

This custom made no proscription against whatever action you took, but you had to carve the situation from a single block of wood including the links in the chain. There was no requirement that the carving had to be a good one or even artistic. Just the best you do with your hands.

So I decided to create a representation of the man’s car with 3 or 4 wooden chain links attached to it. I got a block of brown hard wood and sketched the rough outline of what I’d have to carve away. I was allowed whatever woodworking tools I needed, whether power or hand tools. If I in any way broke the chain while carving it, I had to start over. The chain symbolized the attachment the event has to the person.

I was industrious and had the beginnings of a rough outline in the car in no time. Woodworking is my thing. But the chain is difficult, for you must sketch in such a way to allow enough room for the space between links to be carved into individual links. I used a Dremel tool for much of it.

As I carved and the days wore on, my anger dissipated into the wood. I began to see things in my own nature, my impatience at how long this carving took. My frustration with this honor tradition of carving a block of wood and my anger for the vehicle and man who drove it. Which was the whole point of the exercise. The custom created a space of time for an individual to cool off and to see themselves.

By the time I finished the carving I saw the man for what he really was. I saw the event for what it was. But more importantly I saw myself and my emotions about it all for what it really was. By the time I presented the carving to the man I simply bowed to the man and left.
