There is a solitude that is protective, where someone who cares very much saves you from trouble you are not at all prepared to deal with. The trip you didn't get to take. The mission you were not asked to participate in. The encounters and conversations you ddin't have. This usually stems from a very deep sort of love, but you don't always know that in advance. It can be misperceived, but time reveals its true nature.
Solitude in moderation can be very spiritual. But only in moderation. There is loneliness worse than solitude.
The loneliness of a child punished for speaking the obvious truth. Biblical injunctions to honor parents used as an excuse for anger and punishment against the truth from an innocent child. The child believes its voice is invalid and not wanted.

Healthy humans need people. We all have ways of expression love, our own internal language. It took me years to realize for me it is a kind touch. Seomething that can't be down over the internet. For others it's words and emotional sharing. Why is it families are often meaner than friends are? It shouldn't be that way. When you are only loved when you comply, you demand that from others. Siblings can mirror to each other what their parents did to them.
Love your family even when they suck. Your parents were just kids themselves trying to figure it all out. No dad hates their child. Parenting child is one of the few things that mark our presence on the planet. Having kids is one of life's greatest joys.
